While a youth, Bruce Henderson’s family moved around the United States. During his junior and senior high school years, the family settled in Edmond, Oklahoma. As a young man, Bruce was interested in a career in the military and medicine. After graduation from high school in 1977, Bruce attended Oklahoma State University and earned a Bachelors degree in Political Science in 1981. After graduation, Bruce received a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. He was assigned to Camp Pendleton, California. He also served as a staff officer at Twenty-nine Palms Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center for the American Rapid Deployment Force to be sent to the Middle East during the Lebanon Crisis. After leaving the Marine Corps in 1984, Bruce entered Pharmacy School at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy in 1992. He is currently a practicing Pharmacist in central Oklahoma. Bruce has been an avid “war gamer” since his high school years. He mostly plays with friends and at clubs in Oklahoma. He has also attended numerous miniature gaming conventions throughout the years. The ideas for this war game are drawn from professional training acquired during his years as an officer in the United States Marine Corps and from many years of personal experience in miniature war gaming and studying military history. |
