Sherrill was a self-taught artist across diverse media. Since her senior year in high school, she won awards for writing, art, dolls, photography, crazy quilts, and beadwork. Her first technique-oriented book, Splendiferous Bead Motifs!, was published in 2009. Since then she has published four novels in her Maggie Storm Blue series. Raised in Maine, she wrote her four novels while enjoying an idyllic, never boring, life on five acres in rural Payne County, Oklahoma, with her husband, Gene. Sherrill passed away in January 2016 just a few days after finishing Indelicately Demised.
