Book Two of
Still nursing injuries from his last mission, TC Stevens relinquishes his position as Assistant Director of the MID Knight's southwestern office and returns to the field. Assisted by Jana Howard's reconnaissance team, he finds himself involved in what appears to be a simple case of locating several crates of stolen military munitions. However, a rookie mistake and two missing crates land the MID Knights on the wrong side of a hostile military general. A search for the missing crates and the men who stole them, puts TC Stevens on the trail of the most elusive outlaw he has ever searched for. The outlaw team, led by Matt Higgins and Archie Logan, attempt to gain the upper hand through several kidnappings, but the MID Knights are able to stay one step ahead of them. As the MID Knights close in on Matt Higgins, TC must face a trained sniper in a winner-take-all match. When his spotter is shot by Higgins, TC is left on his own.
