There are 3 key questions in marketing your book -

#1   Who needs or wants your book?
#2   How are they going to know it exists?
#3   Where are they going to buy it?

The answers must be in your Marketing Plan.

Shoppe Foreman is committed to providing the support you need to develop a cost-effective plan to market (promote, publicize, and distribute) your book. Marketing methods are not secret; they have been published in numerous books. We can assist you in developing a Marketing Plan that meets your needs  and budget.

For books listed and sold on Amazon.com, you set the list price at publication. You may change the list price at any time with 30 days notice. Books you sell directly yourself may be sold for any price.

Following are a few elements commonly found in our marketing plans and their estimated cost to you. Those items indicated as "FREE" are included in our basic service. (See also our Pricing webpage).

      Written Marketing Plan                                     FREE
We will meet with you (as needed) to discuss the various methods available to market your book. Together, we will develop a Marketing Plan that meets your full approval.

Webpage on Shoppe Foreman Website           FREE
A webpage dedicated to your book will be developed by Shoppe Foreman and placed on this website. Your book's webpage can aid in book promotion. Your book's webpage will provide a place for you to refer potential customers for information about your book.

       Placement on Amazon.com                                 40%
Your book will be sold through Amazon.com.  They take 40 percent of the list price for their share. Your book's price must be sufficient to cover this cost and the cost of printing.

       Book Reviews
With our counsel, you can identify and seek out reviews of your book. Excerpts from these reviews can be used on your back cover and in other promotional materials.

       Book Signings
According to your availability, you can hold book signings at libraries and retail establishments that sell your book. The only cost to you is for travel.

       Speaking Engagements
According to your availability, you can seek out speaking engagements. Many audience members will want to purchase a copy of your book(s). You can sell these copies for any price, and your royalties will be higher in these sales. The only cost to you is for travel.

       Printed Promotional Materials               Printing Costs
Shoppe Foreman Publishing will design business cards, bookmarks, postcards, posters, or any other materials you desire to advertise your book. These can be used or distributed at meetings, book signings, speaking engagements, and other opportunities. The cost for printing will depend on the material type and the quantity. The cost of printing will be paid by the author.

Conferences            Registration fees and travel costs
The book can be sold to customers directly and presented to potential retail sellers at conferences and meetings. There may be registration and/or booth costs. Costs include travel expenses.

You must take an active role in promoting your book.
The Marketing Plan will be developed to focus your time, energy, and funds.
