AKIO MIZUNO, five years of age, was on a weekend visit with his grandparents thirty miles south of Hiroshima, Japan, when his life changed forever. His parents and siblings were still in Hiroshima when on the morning of August 6th, 1945, an atomic bomb was dropped on the city by American forces. Akio’s parents and his two siblings perished in the blast. Akio never forgave the United States for taking his family from him. He formulated a plan to exact his revenge – a plan that would take decades to implement.
